The Peugot 3008 DKR was designed for racing, with considerable ground clearance and massive tires that can handle the rough terrains. Changes in the damping and geometry as well as travel were applied to its suspension, making it ready to handle the varying South American terrain, according to Only Motors.

The absence of all wheel-drive system resulted to a lighter vehicle that can go at incredible speeds. It looks imperious in red, blue and yellow, which are the colors of its partners- Red Bull, Total, Scarco and BF Goodrich, according to Car Scoops.

Designed for speed and endurance, it is expected that the Peugot 3008 DKR will be able to reach the finish line still intact and eager for more action. This car is made better than its predecessor by making stronger its weak points and improving its strengths. Tested prior to the Dakar Rally in similar terrain by experienced drivers, this car is now ready for the race.
