Ken Block Gymkhana is one of the most popular and most awaited car show in Youtube today garnering around 15 million views per Gymkhana. Years ago, however, he was a stranger just trying to gain a foothold in the US rallies. Today, he already tried a number of cars to showcase on his adventure pack Gymkhana videos and here are the most extreme throughout the years.

Ken Block Gymkhana cars are production based vehicles heavily modified to achieve high performance and increase its horsepower to hundreds or even thousands compare to the original version.

Gymkhana 3: a Ford Fiesta 650 hp

Powered by Olsbergs Motorsport Evolution, Ken Block left his Subaru Impreza WRX STI and replaced by a bestial Ford Fiesta, created with the sole purpose of being incredibly fast. Its engine was a 2.0 turbo four - cylinder, capable of throwing 850 hp power, but limited to 650 hp to control its power. All the power going to all four wheels hooked to a sequential gearbox six relations. It's green wheels with some vinyl that mimicked a dripping black paint also is truly unforgettable.

Gymkhana 4 and 5: Ford Fiesta HFHV

The Ford Fiesta Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle, based on the Ford Fiesta RS WRC, was released in 2011 and for the first time, combined with a single vehicle's ability to compete in Rallycross and the WRC, with the production of the scavenger hunts. Block used a 2.0-liter turbo engine developed by Ford Racing, able to shed up to 600 hp and 900 Nm of maximum torque. A simple flange for turbo could reduce its power for use in other competitions. The sequential gearbox, WRC adjustable suspension and AWD system itself were common to all functions.

Gymkhana 6 and 8: Ford Fiesta ST RX43

A contact sport in which the Fiesta ST RX43 competed with a proposal for 650 hp and the ability to accelerate to 100 km / h in less than two seconds was used in Gymkhana 6 and 8. This Ford Fiesta ST was later used by the pilot in World Rallycross, after his abandonment of traditional rallies. The Gymkhana 6 took place in a packed parking barriers while the Gymkhana 8 was filmed in Dubai, where Block starred in all kinds of adventures on wheels, involving Dubai police and four jumbo jets along the way. Seeing is believing.

Gymkhana 9: Ford Focus RS RX

The latest Ken Block Gymkhana video and its protagonist has been the Rallycross version of the Ford Focus RS and has been recently showcased at the 2016 SEMA, according to Car Scoops. Set in a post-apocalyptic Detroit factory, the Ford Focus RS RX shines by its performance: its 660 hp turbo engine - and 895 Nm of torque - allows to accelerate to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds, faster than a Formula 1. Its body kit increases its width in centimeters enough, separating significantly car production. Watch its monstrous performance here.

Gymkhana 7: Ford Mustang RTR Hoonicorn

The most spectacular and most known Ken Block Gymkhana car, by far is his Hoonicorn. What started as a Ford Mustang 1965 soon became a Frankenstein equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 engine, a Roush Yates of 857 hp , again sent to all four wheels of the car. Manufactured by RTR and ASD Motorsport, the "Hoonicorn" is inspired by a Hot Wheels, and classic Mustang is just some body panels. It is really an ad-hoc, beast with a new chassis, a new body kit and a performance from another world. It was the star of Gymkhana 7, the favorite amongst many, which had as a privileged stage in the city of Los Angeles.

And it seems that Ken Block's Hoonicorn is not yet finished. Now it has evolved and will be the protagonist of the Gymkhana 10 which trailer shows it climbing at the Pikes Peak, according to Yahoo, and will do with 1,400 horsepower, dual turbocharging from its eight-cylinder engine. We can not wait to see it in action meanwhile you can watch the trailer here.
