Bethesda Gives 'Fallout 4' Fans A Preview Of 125 New PS4 Mods And Counting

Even as Bethesda keeps eager fans in suspense for a little while longer, PlayStation 4 users can already get a sneak peek of the new "Fallout 4" PS4 mods in a list of 125 new mods released on Bethesda's official website. The changes, albeit small, will still have an overall impact on a Sony players' game experience, especially as the list of upcoming mods continues to grow.

Sony and Bethesda announced that the mods will be up and ready for use this month, reported Game N Guide. The list of comptaible tweaks on their website should be enough to whet the appetite of excited gamers in the meantime, even though the live pages for these mods don't enable players to install them onto the console just yet.

It's important to note that the PS4 mods are confined to using only assets available in Fallout 4's official Creation Kit, according to iDigital Times, meaning mods will do very little to alter end results. But the devil here is in the details, as it will enable PS4 players to product better character appearances, settlements, environments and other gameplay mechanics.

Bethesda is, however, trying to negotiate for improved hardware that would allow mods using outside assets in the future. This would further expand the already well-stacked list on Bethesda's website of the upcoming PS4 mods that players themselves created.

Examples of these mods are the Portable Nuka Jetpack, which renders flying players immune from fall damage, the Realistic Guns and Bullets Overhaul, which fixes problems with damage and AP cost, and Nuka Grenade and Mining Crafting, which lets players produce their own nuka grenades.

Fallout 4 can be played on PS4, Xbox One and PC, with PS4 being the only console currently incompatible with mods. Xbox One, on the other hand, boasts an impressive list of 4,000 mods of different varieities.
