Without a doubt, "GTA 6" is one of the most awaited games of this year, and "GTA" fans have been waiting with bated breath for Rockstar Games to provide more details regarding "GTA 6" release date. However, the game developer continues to remain tight-lipped regarding when the "GTA 5's" sequel will hit the store shelves.

Rumor mills have been churning a slew of speculations around the purported game for quite a long time. If latest reports are anything to go by, Rockstar Games is not even remotely considering diverting its focus from the current installment in the popular franchise, "GTA 5." Unfortunately, "GTA" fans are in for a very long wait before they can finally get hold of the highly anticipated iteration of Rockstar's third-person shooter.

According to a tipster on the GTA Forums, Rockstar Games is gearing up to roll out bevies of DLC (downloadable content) for "GTA 5". The tipster further claims that the final two DLCs will be quite large; in fact, they will be nearly the size of a full-on game. This is because they will encompass enormously, and never before seen locations. Furthermore, the tipster believes "GTA 6" is slated to hit the stores in 2020. It likely features an enhanced Vice City, which was the center of attention in 2002's "GTA: Vice City."

While there are umpteen theories regarding whether or not Rockstar Games is working on "GTA 6," mounting evidence indicate that it is not expected to arrive anytime soon. Before Rockstar releases the "GTA 5" online map expansions, Rockstar Games will roll out three more DLC set.

The only piece of good news for those restlessly waiting for "GTA 6" release date will not be affected by the equally anticipated "Red Dead Redemption 2," iDigitalTimes reported. Apparently, this is possible because there are two different teams under Rockstar that are working on the respective games.
