The production for "12 Monkeys" Season 3 just started mid-October. Syfy doesn't fail in keeping things all abuzz for the upcoming season. Their "12 Monkeys" Season 3 spoiler or rather teaser had surely heated things up.

The "12 Monkeys Season" 3 spoiler teaser lasted for a minute. Its debut was held during the Comic-Con held recently. It did not disappoint with a lot of cliff-hangers.

A time-travel to the year 2163, a cult leader, a possible death, the search for "Titan" and the revelation as to who the witness is, makes fans on their toes for next year's season. It sets an exciting plot for the upcoming "12 Monkeys" Season 3.

The "Titan" is the huge time-travel facility which makes it a valuable asset once discovered. However, its use or misuse could greatly alter the future of mankind. The search for it though will not come easy. It is proven to be too risky and may end up in death.

Who is the witness in "12 Monkeys"?

The teaser also showcased Cassie, played by Amanda Schull, having a vision detailing the safety of "The Witness." It leads Cassie to a possible safe house where "The Witness" can be secured.

Cassie being safe meant "The Witness" is safe as well. Last Season 2, Cassie herself made a startling discovery about the true identity of "The Witness."

"The Witness" turned out to be Cassie's unborn child, conceived with time traveler James Cole. This truth led to her abduction by the "12 Monkeys" army.

The show's executive producer, Terry Matalas was quoted to say, "In Season 3, the stakes have never been more personal for our time travelers," according to Entertainment Weekly.

This makes Season 3 a personal journey of its lead characters. They have to deal with their own future where it is more than their own lives at stake. They'll go through challenges that will certainly leave fans guessing as to how it will affect the series overall timeline and plot.

How Does A Cult Leader Fit In The Plot?

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the introduction of a new character in Syfy's most-anticipated series. According to the online entertainment magazine, Christopher Lloyd has been tapped for a role.

Lloyd was previously known for his "Back to the Future" stint. In "12 Monkeys" he will portray a cult leader by the name of Zalmon Shaw. The cult leader is a tragedy-obsessed character. He is set to recruit fanatics to his cult preying on the misery of other people's lives. Now, isn't this twisted?

The teaser can be viewed on Syfy's official YouTube channel. It can be viewed here.
