The Insurance for Highway Safety or IIHS has granted the 2017 Kia Sedona high ratings for being their "Top Safety Pick," among all other minivans, last Oct. 4, 2016, in Irvine, CA.

The ratings the 207 Kia Sedona has earned were among the highest possible to date, under the minivan category from IIHS. The carmaker has stated that it just recognizes their steep efforts in making improved and safe vehicles.

Kia has made key improvements that made their 2017 Sedona a far cry from its predecessor. The car maker has the announcements about the Sedona's enhancement through PR Newswire. The highlighted features were mentioned as follows, which mostly features safety enhancements. The following could also be the key factors, which led to a high-rating from IIHS.

Among the key features include the compatibility with "Android Auto" and "Apple Car." Those enhancements are discussed in details hereKia's through their website discussed this year's line-up. It also includes more details about the Sedona that starts around $26,800, can be reached here.

Taking a look at other minivans the 2017 Kia Sedona could certainly learn a thing or two. The Korean minivan is good but not good enough alongside rivals. The 2017 Toyota Sienna remains the most-preferred minivan by buyers. What makes it highly preferred by most, is because it is an all-wheel-drive.

The 2017 Honda Odyssey comes in as the second best minivan to date when it comes to preference. It's performance and output is close to the Sienna. However, what keeps it distinct is its striking design aesthetics. Chrysler's Pacifica Hybrid is the pioneer in the minivan segment. A hybrid is now available for this year. It is the only hybrid minivan to date.

Kia's 2017 Sedona should take a cue from its rivals. Learn from their mistakes and take it into consideration for next year's edition.
