F1 news revealed that the organization has been experiencing brake issues during the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend. As a remedy, it has been decided that Haas will test a different brake manufacturer to cater to the race. Which brand won the bid?
Team Haas has been experiencing numerous issues relating to the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend which left the cars unstable during the event. Although the other car of the team would retain Brembo brakes which were utilized by Esteban Gutierrez and Romain Grosjean, the Haas team has decided to use the services of another brand due to the race-ending problems the cars experienced during the race, according to Auto Sport.
What To Expect At the Mexico Grand Prix
For the Mexico Grand Prix event which will take place this weekend, Haas team principal, Gunther Steiner, has revealed two cars of the team would be utilizing brake rotor material of another brake manufacturer.
Gutierrez himself recently retired from the US Grand Prix when he experienced the brake failure. In fact, he claimed that it had not been a good experience for him to race knowing that the brakes would malfunction by the time he would reach 360kph.
How Grosjean's Performance Was Affected By The Brakes
On other F1 news, Grosjean claimed that the team still is not in the position where they want to be and although he had not been complaining, he was only able to finish 22nd and 20th on at the end of the second season. He, however, hinted that this downgrade in the ranks was solely due to the brake failure the Haas team had been experiencing, according to Fox Sports.
Although the F1 news revealed that the team is currently finding a replacement for the Brembo brakes to be used at the Mexico Grand Prix, the mismeasurements during the Brazilian Grand Prix suggested that the team is currently finding ways to fix the problem and that surveying for another brand to supply the brake rotor material for the other two cars is the most feasible option for the team to have a shot at winning this weekend.
