The Fiat's 2017 Doge Challenger GT "Hellcat" has been confirmed to be an all-wheel drive. Collin Woodard from Road and Track has found out about this through the Environmental Protection Agency.
However, "Hellcat" fans should not rejoice too soon. The AWD version will only be available for V6 engines. The upcoming "Hellcat" edition won't be fuel-efficient as expected. It only got an EPA rating of 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
The rear-wheel drive version is usually a blast. It is also good news for buyers who live in snow-prone areas. It will make traversing easier. The details from the EPA can be viewed here. There is no announcement yet on the 2017 Dodge Challenger's price. It should not veer far from its last year's MSRP. It came at around $26,995.
There are three engine options. A 3.6 Pentastar V6 engine, a 5.7 L Hemi V8 and the last is a 6.4 Hemi V8 engine. It has an expected 650 lb-ft torque output. Its horsepower falls around 707, according to The Drive.
The Fiat is bound to unveil a customized Dodge Challenger SRT during SEMA's upcoming event on November 1. There are four other custom vehicles that Fiat intends to bring. The other four custom vehicles renames unnamed as of publication. Another vehicle to expect at the SEMA is a bronze paint clad Wrangler with a louvered hood.
The SEMA or Specialty Equipment Market Association is an automobile aftermarket organization. It was founded by Roy Richter in 1963. There are now 6,383 participants to date.
