The Electric vehicle market had hugely expanded over the past few years. Gone are the days where it's a crazy idea to think that EV's can beat gasoline cars. Electric cars latest have moved from the backseat of the automotive industry to become key projects for some of the biggest manufacturers. Thus, this convinces us that it is time for another countdown of the best electric cars, this time, key criteria is its range.

This top 10 ranking of the latest electric cars with the longest range will show how much EV's evolved in just a few months. The last time a list has been made, the combined range of 10 models permeating the top 10 total to just over 1,800 kilometers. Today, electric cars latest figures reach 3,100 kilometers and more, according to Autobytel's list.

10. 2016 Chevrolet Spark EV - 130km

8. 2016 Mercedes-Benz B-Class 250e - 200km

Among the engines available for the Mercedes-Benz Class B we found a fully electric version called B 250e. It has an electric motor that produces an impressive maximum power of 180 hp with its 28 kWh battery capacity that can go up to 200 km.

7. 2016 Kia Soul EV - 212 kilometers
