2016 Chevrolet Camaro: Select Brand New Cars Sell Cheaper This Year, What's In It For Muscle Car Fans?

Oct 14, 2016 09:11 PM EDT | Leian N.

It has been a bad year for muscle cars recently since the sale of its models have been declining tremendously. Despite the mishap, the Chevrolet Camaro franchise seemed to be enjoying the situation as their car sales have risen up... it even took out the Ford Mustang of the top one list. Is the Bumblebee model worth the lesser value?

Since 2016, several muscle car developers have opted to decrease their prices in rentals and purchase value for their respective flagship models. In fact, Chevrolet Camaro, also known as the Bumblebee in many "Transformers" movies, has earned the crown as a bestseller in its own right.

As reported by Jalopnik, General Motors has cheapened the leases on the model, has been offering zero-percent interest for buyers and cut the prices for the franchise models up to 20% off.

Despite the good news on price cuts for the muscle car, it has been announced that only a select few will be imposed with the said discount. As the slogan has put it, "On select 2016 Camaros in stock." Since there are several 2016 Chevrolet Camaro versions, not all of them are subject to the said price cut.

The Price

The allotted discount will render the select 2016 Chevrolet Camaro vehicles to a value of less than $20,000. A red 2016 Chevrolet Camaro which is a six-speed manual that is able to generate 260 horsepower with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine is included in the price cut. It may not be the best performer among the bunch but the value was said to be worth the purchase as a muscle car generally would not cost as low as how the Chevy company has lodged for it.

With respect to the Chevrolet Camaro SS model, it was initially sold for a value of $46,447. However, with the discounted price, muscle car enthusiasts can get a grab of it for a whopping low price of $12,000 only as a sticker price.

Thank God For Incentives

In other news, Top Speed reported  that the increase in sales for the select 2016 Chevrolet Camaro was due to the increase in incentives afforded to the buyers. In fact, the said incentives for the discounted models were lodged at $3,340 just in September alone which was initially just $1,080 from August. In fact, the incentive program for the model has been deemed the reason why the sales for Ford Mustang has decreased as well.

With cutbacks on price for the legendary muscle car, the Bumblebee 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, the car fans of the franchise were said to be thrilled to have a better opportunity at claiming one for themselves at a cheaper value.
