The 2018 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, the C7 Chevy Corvette successor continues its testing phases and had been spied again by carparazzis, this time, caught in the video, allowing us to see more into its wonderful exterior as well as to hear the rumble of its power possibly to reach 700hp. Check out the ZR1 here.

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Better Version

Chevrolet continues to test prototypes of what until now known as 2018 Corvette ZR1, it will be the most radical version of the current generation Corvette C7 which is already impressive enough. Although we have already seen these testing cars on several occasion, these new video captured by carparazzis allow us to look in more detail at the front of the new model, revealing an aggressive nose, more radical than the current versions as well as hear the awesome rumbling of its powerful engine.

The ZR1 will likely be powered by a supercharged LT4 small block V8 engine and be offered with an option of a 7-speed manual transmission or an automatic (10-speed auto if it can handle the torque output) or the 8-speed automatic. Check out the video below of the possible 700+hp performance of the next king of the road.

Examining The Exterior

The 2018 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 sported a huge spoiler when he first saw it in some spy photos, an element that is not present in this prototype in the video but which we can find the masts still anchored at the top of the rear.

On all occasions, the new Corvette ZR1 has been photographed showing the strong camouflage in the front area but exposing the rest of the body panels, which it got to the Corvette versionZ06. It also Includes red roof, which makes us think that this is one of the first prototypes that was sighted in their road tests.

When inspecting carefully, the front area of this testing car has openings in the sides of the bumper, an area in which no version of the current Corvette has air intakes which can be an interesting improvement to see. These new air intakes appear to be larger than the central grid, which also has the same design grid. This would draw a much more aggressive front than the Z06 front, possibly to feed more air to mechanical improvements that will hopefully be released in the new ZR1, which is said to have over 700 horses .

Furthermore, the design of the heel appears to be straighter than the Z06, which feature a small notch at the height of the door, while the prototype seems to draw an unbroken line of wheel to wheel. Finally, the center of the hood appears bulkier than the Z06, although this may be because of the camouflage and not the actual design

For now, all reports indicate that this new version of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will be presented at the next Detroit Motor Show 2017 and will come to the market on 2018. Its marketing would start a few months after being revealed and probably would coexist with the new generation mid - engine Corvette, which we expect to be presented just one year later.
