Who knew that the Tesla Hearse could be the perfect limousine for a funeral home? It was recently revealed that a Dutch car builder has decided to transform the model into a funeral coach. In fact, it was also reported that the maker is in talks to make the Tesla Hearse model capable of autopilot control.

Dutch car builder RemetzCar has recently announced they customized the Tesla Model S vehicle into an all new Tesla Hearse - a funeral vehicle. In fact, the vehicle was seen to be installed with a glass roof that could house a coffin and is under talks to improve its maneuverability. The company also felt that the modifications were a classy way to modify the model, particularly when the Tesla Hearse was deemed to be convenient enough to accommodate funeral services.

Tesla Model S Changes

As reported by Daily Mail, RemetzCar transformed a Tesla Model S vehicle by sawing it half and stretched it 31.5 inches more to make the model accommodative to coffins. Along with the glass rood, its rear section was also installed with a manually retractable floor for one coffin by installing panels to make such move coherent with the whole. The modified unit was said to be called the new Tesla Hearse vehicle.

Furthermore, it was also reported that RemetzCar is currently talking to Tesla to make the model even more funeral-friendly by proposing to make it run on autopilot.

As reported by Auto Blog, the autopilot feature was deemed to be appropriate for the Tesla Hearse purpose. In fact, it was revealed that the company also wished to make the model drive in a slower, more somber fashion mimicking the procession that happens during funerals.

Availability and Showcasing

Additionally, the Tesla Hearse Model would be featured at the 2016 Funeral Exhibition next week. Will the company incorporate the autopilot mode? What other features will be included and updated for the make and model?
