1992 Supra Transformed To Bentley GT3-R; Awesome Or Abomination?

All fans of the legendary car Toyota Supra should look away now. For some unfathomable reason, a 1992 Toyota Supra turned it into a replica of a Bentley Continental GT3-R was found for sale on Auto Week. The Supra was changed a lot and is hardly recognizable at all.

For us, it is an abomination while others say it's awesome. If you think your heart can handle it. Check out the photo gallery here.

The Abomination of a Legend

The Japanese coupe Toyota Supra is still one of the favorites in the automotive world even though production stopped around year 2000. It's philosophy and image remains in full force thanks to movies like "The Fast and the Furious" or video games like Gran Turismo. This is why it is just saddening to see a legend transformed into a very different image like the GT3-R.

This Bentley GT3/Toyota Supra comes with the newly changed sheets, stickers and strips and has an adjustable suspension and 20-inch wheels. It is currently in the Netherlands. And if you wonder why the price is, it's $15,000. That would be an amazing price for a real second-hand GT3-R and a good price for a very clean Supra.

At least this Supra version still used its all original turbo and has an automatic gearbox. That means that the power comes from the 3.0-carburetor engine with six-cylinder and 223 hp, associated with a four-speed transmission that the Supra originally have.

A New Toyota Supra In The Near Future

It looks like to us that the seller is bored when he did the Bentley GT3 Toyota Supra mix. That's the only reason we can come up with or maybe he just missed the original Supra and just want to spend time with it so he changed it. Toyota Supra fans all over the world are bored too and the Supra has been missed a lot. Luckily, signs are saying that a new generation of Toyota Supra is in the near future.

Although not yet official, all information suggests that the new Toyota Supra could reach the market in two years, beginning in 2018. New Supra or whatever Toyota decides to call it, would be developed in collaboration with BMW. A possibility of using a BMW 6-cylinder turbocharged engine is said while some say Toyota working on their own engine, which would be their flagship.

Whatever it will be, we are already excited.
