"Supergirl" season two is to release next month and the CW had some major spoilers for the TV series fans. One of which is the showing of the most anticipated reveal of an iconic character in the story - the main character's cousin, Superman. What do we know about the Man of Steel so far?

"Supergirl" season two is just around the corner and the series had already given fans to look forward to. There will be an addition to the show's cast who will have a substantial effect on the show itself - Tyler Hoechlin as the Man of Steel or Superman.

As reported by IGN, the Man of Steel will appear on "Supergirl" season two by the second episode entitled "The Last Children of Krypton."

During the first season of the show, there had been several mentions of the iconic Superman but was not featured then. For its second season, the Man of Steel will be battling evil alongside his cousin, Supergirl played by Melissa Benoist.

Superman was said to only appear for the season's first two episodes. However, there had been no official proclamations that he will not appear further in other episodes of the brand new season.

On top of Superman, another cast member will be joining the DC Comics heroes in "Supergirl" season two as well. Katie McGrath had been cast as Lena Luthor as well, the Lex Luthor's sister, reported TV Line.

Spoiler Alert! Crossover Revealed

As reported by Screen Rant, the heroes will grow in number come "Supergirl" season two as a crossover between DC Comics series adaptations will come to play. "The Flash" cast members were said to be featured in the series' upcoming season along with the introduction of Superman which will be portrayed by "Teen Wolf" actor Hoechlin.
