Though Jeremy Clarkson's show is yet to be aired, the controversial TV personality took a drone and documented a bird on the set of "The Grand Tour" in Beachy Head where the device was banned from doing such things.
Illegal Drone Use?
On the set of the upcoming television series, "The Grand Tour," the controversial host of the show maneuvered a drone to document a nesting spot for rare birds of prey in the area. Although this seemed like an innocent act, using drones in the vicinity was deemed to be prohibited by local laws, reported The Sun.
According to the report, Clarkson's activity raised concern from the local officials, especially those who were members of the council, since using the said drone was against local laws. A photo later surfaced confirming the allegation, showing Jeremy Clarkson maneuvering the device while they were filming for the upcoming television series.
Clarkson's The Grand Tour
The said car show was said to be released on Amazon Prime but the documentation of the bird's nest was said to not be part of the said show. Clarkson allegedly wanted to film how Peregrine falcons, also considered as the fastest animal on earth for its ability to fly at 242 mph, behave.
However, the said species was protected under UK law with respect to exposure and disruption of its natural habitat. Clarkson's activity, flying the drone around the bird's nest, was said to be a violation of such.
Clarkson's Acts Angers Locals
In other news, the Mirror reported that the local officials complained of Clarkson's activity, especially when such was done with a whole team of people from the set. Their alleged outing was said to be usually banned at the East Sussex area since it would disrupt the nesting of the falcons.
It was revealed that Jeremy Clarkson was not the only one who was charged for the violation. A member of the crew in "The Grand Tour" was also included since that person also controlled the drone.
