Lamborghini recently divulged photos, information, prices and other specification of the upcoming Lamborghini Urus SUV as well as some hopes about it including the desire to target families as well as females with the new Urus and to double up the brand's sale when it launched.

Lamborghini's CEO Stefano Domenciali main goal for the Lamborghini Urus SUV is to double up their sale. The ambitious expectation he said is achievable because the Urus is not only geared towards men but also families and women. Currently, the Italian manufacturer sells around 3,500 units a year and 30 percent of Lamborghini sales are focused in the United States.

"A bull is always aggressive and Lamborghini was known for that, but I would like to give us a new philosophy toward the future: A bull can be gentle too. With that, let's do our best to sell 7000 or more Lamborghini Urus SUV" Domenciali, chief of Lamborghini said.

The Lamborghini Urus SUV has been different than its concept launched. Gone are the futuristic cameras instead of mirrors. Gone are the door buttons instead of door handles. Both issues had been rectified to sports car for an SUV. Added are the roof box for extra luggage space as well as the orange side markers for US-spec models.

If all goes as planned, the first Lamborghini Urus SUV will hit the market in 2018 with a price of $200,000, $40,000 more expensive than the Cayenne Turbo S which is its direct competitor. However, Lamborghini believes that more people will be interested in buying theirs than other brands. Also, Lamborghini is in the process of creating 28 new dealerships and increasing its international network of distributors from 132 to 160 to achieved the goal.

The Lamborghini Urus SUV will be assembled at the Bolognese Sant'Agata plant , in which the Huracan and Aventador have been manufactured. Later in 2020, the Italian company intends to launch a hybrid electric version of the Urus and it is possible that a fully electric Urus will come in the near future.
