Learn About The New Technology That Can Turn Your Normal Car To A Self-Driving Car

While tech giants, including Lyft, Google, and Uber, in collaboration with other car makers like Hyundai, Toyota, and Tesla, already has a vision on how driverless cars would run the world, another company aims to be part of the picture. Drive.ai is this particular company and they have unveiled themselves today.

The catch with Drive.ai is that instead of being a new brand of driverless cars, they would sell devices which enable you to convert your own car into a driverless one. A system which will be installed in cars would serve as the processing unit for the car, and a display, which is installed on the roof enables interaction between drivers.

The introduction of driverless cars would come in handy for those who have visual troubles, together with the elderly who need it for a better transportation experience. Furthermore, allowing interaction among cars would allow accident rates to decrease.

The tech company also aims to promote effective communication, not just with other cars, but with passers-by near the car also. A screen is placed on the roof of the car, like that of taxis, which would flash signs on whether it's safe to walk to the other side of the road, or to thank a driver at your rear.

Deep learning software would be used by the Drive.ai together with hand signs and smile emoticons. Google and Uber are also using a deep level of artificial intelligence to fix the autopilot issues which are being dealt with by some ordinary cars.

Drive.ai has siphoned talent from other car companies to perfect their self-driving car secret sauce.

Important personnel to man Drive.ai have been poached from other companies such as Lyft and General Motors.

There's no final schedule as to when Drive.ai's tools would hit the market, and how users would be working their way through the legal aspects. Competition in this industry remains tight, given that Uber has already announced that its automated line of cabs would be operational in the summer.
