All-new 'Tesla Model S' Is The Newest Fastest Car

The Model S has just been made into the fastest car out in the market today by Tesla Motors. On Tuesday, it was announced that a new battery option has been added, giving users an option of a 100 kilowatt-hour battery for Model X and S Tesla cars.

This new battery option, therefore, means that the S P100D Model could now run at a rate of 60 mph in a matter of 2.5 seconds, hence ranking third among the fastest running cars. The other two quicker cars, according to Tesla are the 918 Spyder model of Porsche, and the La Ferrari model of Ferrari, but the production of these were limited and has already ceased.

Equipped with a "Ludicrous" mode, the Model S P 100D is on the market for $135,700, which is inclusive of a destination fee.The Sedan performance version is equipped with dual motors, an upgraded version for air suspension, and Brembo-type brakes.

The X P100D Model has a rate of 2.9 seconds with an initial price of $136,700 and is the fastest SUV according to tesla. The announcement for this new SUV was announced after leaking of product details by Tesla CEO, Elon Musk through a tweet.

The new battery option gives the Model S the ability to travel as far as 315 miles, fully-charged, the first to travel more than 300 miles on a single charge. On the other hand, Model X has an estimated maximum travel distance of 289 miles.

The company is giving the batter as an option for better performance for both the Model S and Model X.The options can be availed of beginning Tuesday.

For those who have already bought a sedan, the price to upgrade to a 100 kWh battery is $20,000, inclusive of recycling and installation costs. Those customers who have already ordered a P90D could upgrade to a 100 kWh battery with an additional $10,000 payment.
