Woman Porsche Driver Narrowly Misses Head-on Collision, Blames Slippers

How not to overtake on a blind corner while wearing slippers. Perhaps the lady driver behind the wheels of the white Porsche Cayenne who recently had a really close shave had been providing a real life demo of that though she's seen really being apologetic in the end. Ridiculously enough, she blamed it all on her slippers.

The incident occurred on the B1253 somewhere between Rudston and Bridlington in the UK with the entire incident captured by a dashcam fitted on the car of one Damian Hodgson. It has been smooth going until the Cayenne suddenly appears in the scene. It goes past Mr. Hodgson's car and was about to overtake a blue Citroen ahead when a Skoda appeared in the front.

In the end, it took some smart manoeuvring by both the Cayenne and Skoda drivers to prevent a head-on collision, which would have been catastrophic, to say the least. The Skoda which had moved on to the grass verge came out unscathed from the entire incident. That however couldn't be said of its occupants including a 10-yeal old girl in the front seat who were left in a state of shock.

However, the Cayenne brushed along the sides of the Citroen and both the cars suffered minor damages. The Porsche driver later said she was on the way to pick up her husband from the pub but was left shell shocked at the way things have gone. Interestingly, she said she had always been overtaking at the same spot though it seems she will change her driving tactics after what has happened.

"She was shaking like a leaf and on the edge of crying as she knew she had done wrong. She was hugging the Citroen driver and was apologetic," Hodgson later told the Mirror.

This also happens to be the second crash that Hodgson captured on his dashcam after procuring it just 19 days ago, Yorkshire Post reported.
