There are rumors that “Grand Theft Auto 6” will start development soon. The game may also be set in Tokyo, Japan. “GTA 5 Online” also recently launched a new game type, called “Inch by Inch.”

After “Grand Theft Auto V” released in 2013, fans have been speculating about the next installment. In the past several months, gamers stayed optimistic that an announcement would be made, but Rockstar Games has been quiet for a while. According to the game developer, there is still more to explore in “GTA V,” so they would wish to capitalize on it more before moving on to the sequel.

Reddit users have been talking about the potential setting for “GTA 6” for some time. There are some who claim that the game will happen in Tokyo.

MNR Daily said that the Japanese city would be a good location for the next game since it feature a combination of historical and modern elements. Other fans, however, still think that the game will still be set in the United States. There are theories that “GTA 6” will be set in the 1920s in Chicago, although the city will be renamed Lake City. The missions are still said to include many activities that made the franchise famous, such as bootlegging, doing hit jobs, dealing with crime organizations, driving the best cars in the world and using high-powered weapons.

Others believe that Miami, Florida would be the next setting for “GTA 6.” The location would allow the main protagonist to operate land, water and air vehicles because of the diverse environments in the beachside city.

Rockstar has not yet officially announced the upcoming launch or release date of “Grand Theft Auto 6.” The game should be playable on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One upon launch.

In other news, “GTA Online” also celebrated its first-year anniversary of its PC version by showcasing a new gameplay type, called “Inch By Inch.” The new mode features several bonuses, discounts on items and a new vehicle. The new type requires players to bring a package to their enemies’ end zone, at the same time trying to survive endless bullets. The player who is in charge of the package cannot carry weapons and should rely on teammates to get to the other side.

“Inch by Inch” will be available on Apr. 12, 2016 for free. There will be double GTA cash bonuses to acquire through April 14.
