It goes without saying that the Korean carmaker Hyundai is dedicated to setting a new trend of innovation and sustainability. It appears that Hyundai will launch 26 green models till the year 2020.

Indeed, a new record-breaking advancement is forecast to dominate the whole car industry. In a post from Auto Blog, "Hyundai Motor Group, which comprises both Hyundai and Kia, believes that launching a blitz of 26 green models through 2020 could place the Korean automaker among the leaders in the segment."

Given that notion at hand, it seems attainable since Hyundai was able to transcend its competitors for many years now. Based on the same post, the

26 models would feature green technology. Moreover, it would incorporate 12 hybrids and there would be six PHEVs, two EVs, and two hydrogen fuel cells, as reported by Automotive News.

If the strategic move of Hyundai goes as planned, Hyundai and Kia could move more than 300,000 electrified vehicles till 2020 in comparison to their previous numbers which falls at 43,000 for the year 2015.

On the other hand, since Kia is responsible for at least 11 of these vehicles like the upcoming Niro crossover, Hyundai will focus on the forthcoming release of Ioniq. In addition, Ioniq is forecast to challenge the Toyota Prius.

On a different note, it has been speculated that car enthusiasts would not have to worry about the car being unreliable of insufficient because based on the affirmations rendered byHyundai Motor, the car maker will use its shared components.

To confirm the latter, according to Lee Ki-Sang, Hyundai's green powertrain head, "For example, all our electric motors have the same diameter. The power output is different, but we can just adjust the width of the core winding. Or for the motor controller, we standardized to use the same printed circuit boards."

It stands to reason that Hyundai and its forthcoming launching of its 26 green models set for completion in 2020 will bring about a new era of green technology and sustainability.
