Audi will be releasing the new A4 Allroad Quattro later this month at a starting price of £35,560. Before the second generation of Ingolstadt's family hits the market, drivers are eager to know the features at stake.

The new model boasts an outstanding mechanical features. The all-wheel drive system has been improved to cater the dynamic and permanently active tech today. It now uses an electronically controlled clutch behind the dual-clutch automatic gearbox in order for the vehicle to run in fuel-sipping front-drive mode. The position of the clever has also been altered placing it at the back to lessen the torque drag thereby delivering 44.1 mpg combined economy and a 6.1 seconds 0 to 62 mph sprint.

The new Quattro system of Allroad is a fuel saver by reducing drivetrain losses which also lessens the CO2 emissions. As reported by Car Magazine, the model can switch between front- and all-wheel drive just a split of second. The system also analyses the steering angle data, engine torque and acceleration every ten milliseconds which is quite remarkable. Audi claims that the new system included in Allroad Quattro is proactive, predictive and reactive, writes the news portal.

Audi A4 Allroad Quattro comes in petrol and diesel versions. The former has the 2.0-liter TFSI while the latter has two editions, the 2.0-liter TDI (148bhp and 178bhp tunes) and a 3.0-liter TDI (215bhp or 268bhp).

In terms of physical features, the company added a fine cabin which is a feature present in other A4 models. Enhancing the mechanical prowess of the vehicle has not disabled Audi from ensuring the comfort of the passengers, Autocar reports. The inside is spacious enough just like the A6 models which can accommodate four six-footers.

Allroad can support 505 liters of storage space. Both the inside and outside of the car look appealing. It is indeed a perfect companion for long distance travels.
