Panoz DeltaWing GT Concept Car Debuts At Petit Le Mans Race (PHOTOS)

DeltaWing Technologies has unveiled their Panoz DeltaWing GT concept car in Braselton, Ga. at the 2015 Petit Le Mans sports car endurance race, according to the Slipstream Network news.

The 24-hour race came into existence in October 1998 thanks to Road Atlanta owner Don Panoz, and it been taking place annually ever since, Road Atlanta noted.

DeltaWing designed the street-legal race car to accommodate nearly any current or future type of transverse engine. It could run on petrol, diesel or compressed natural gas, reported World Car Fans.

DeltaWing noted that the platform can be used with hybrid and electric powertrains. The race car was designed to use an engine that develops between 350 and 400 bhp and weighs between 1,800 and 3,000 pounds.

The company plans to create a future four-passenger Panoz DeltaWing car for the road, according to World Car Fans.
