Talk about innovative car features! The Tesla Model X fully electric luxury SUV has been outfitted with a trio of air filters that protect occupants from a biological weapon air strike, stated CEO Elon Musk at the launch in Fremont, Calif.. who added that his engineers designed "Bioweapon defense mode [which] creates positive pressure inside the cabin to protect its occupants," according to Tesla Motors website.

The Model X's trio air filters clean the outside to a level of cleanliness comparable to a hospital operating room, reported Business Insider.

According to The Independent, Tesla's most popular feature (besides the Falcon Wing doors) is its "medical grade HEPA filter [that] strips outside air of pollen, bacteria, viruses and pollution before circulating it into the cabin."

The Falcon Wing doors are the SUV's other favored feature. Inspired by ballet, Tesla's engineers created graceful doors that lift up and open upward then outward by bending on  double hinge like an elbow, CNN Money noted.

Besides the "Bioweapon Defense Mode," CEO Elon Musk believes the elegant Falcon doors increased the demand for the fully electric luxury SUV.

Safety features like the electric battery mounted on the bottom of the car to lower the center of gravity to prevent roll over and the large front trunk to absorb impact in the "crumple zone", make the electric car attractive to consumers, The Independent reported.

In 2017 consumers can expect another version of the electric SUV at lower price than the current cost between $132,000 and $144,000, according to The Independent.
