Tracy Morgan Driving Again

Tracy Morgan was seen cruising around Fifth Avenue in New York City in style Saturday afternoon, TMZ reports. After a horrific car accident last summer, it is an awesome sight to see Tracy behind the wheel.

On June 7 of last year, Morgan was on board a Mercedes Sprinter bus that was involved in a six-car pile-up on the New Jersey Turnpike. Morgan was on his way home after an engagement at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Delaware with his assistant, fellow comedian Harris Stanton, James McNair, and two limo company employees, according to The Daily Mail. Their bus was struck from behind by a Wal-Mart tractor trailer, which caused a chain reaction of collisions on the highway. Morgan broke his leg and femur, several ribs, and nose, while his mentor and friend, McNair, was killed in the crash. Morgan stated in an interview that he had been in a coma for roughly two weeks after the incident.

Morgan had also been in rehabilitation after he was released from the hospital and even stated, in an interview with Closer Weekly, that while he was in a wheelchair, his daughter Maven was scared of him. "[Maven] was a baby when I first came home from the hospital, so she was scared of the wheelchair. She wouldn't come over to me... I took that personally."

It has been a long road to recovery for Morgan and his family, not only physically, but mentally as well. Steve Lacy of Fox 5 in New York spotted the silver Lamborghini and was thrilled to see who was in the driver's seat. Lacy told TMZ that he asked Morgan how he was doing and he responded that he was good, throwing up the peace sign as well.
