General Motors is calling back all 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups made from Jan. 2014 through Dec. 2014.

The issue:

Front brake calipers found in the affected trucks could leak brake fluid, which would increase the stopping distance needed to avoid a serious collision, reads a report by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The cars:

-2015 Chevrolet Colorado pickup

-2015 GMC Canyon pickup

The Fix:

GM is telling all dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace all front-brake calipers, free of charge to customers. The Detroit-automaker has also issued a stop-delivery order to dealers until the recall is completed.

Injuries or Accidents:

No injuries or accidents have been linked to either recall yet.

Recall Date:

An official recall date is expected to begin on July 10. Owners are advised to keep updated on the recalls by accessing NHTSA's VIN Lookup Tool to find out more information.

Number of Models Affected:

GM's latest recall affects 14,838 vehicles.

Who to call?

Owners with more questions can reach Chevrolet's customer service line at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC at 1-800-462-8782.
