The new Ram Rebel, unveiled today at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, was designed for those who need a vehicle for outside adventures like snowmobiling and riding bike trails.

What is it?

The 2015 Rebel looks to attract outdoor-sport fans to Fiat Chrysler's truck brand. The Rebel is the 10th member of the Ram truck lineup. Five paint colors will be offered, like monotone treatments.

What's new or changed?

The Rebel will be available to interested customers in either four- or rear-wheel-drive as a crew cab, four-door truck. Buyers can choose from the Hemi 5.7-liter and 3.6-liter V6 engines.

The Rebel is 1 inch higher than the standard Ram 1500, which allows it enough room for 33-inch Toyo tires. Tires are matched with blacked-out, wheels.

One of the most noticeable features is a new interlocking front grille, which marks the first time Ram has switched from its crosshair grille since 1990. Black steel bumpers and a unique aluminum hood with dual cosmetic air scoops are also standard.

Can I buy it?

Pricing hasn't been released for the Rebel, which goes on sale in the second quarter of 2015. It will compete for sales against the Ford F-150 Raptor.
