5 Things to do With Your Car After You're Done Eating Turkey

Whether you're looking forward to the turkey, stuffing, gravy or pie, Thanksgiving is all about the food. Usually the biggest dilemma on the fourth Thursday in November is what to do after you can't eat another bite.

There are tons of different activities to consider after you're done eating on Thanksgiving, and while watching football is the obviously choice, here are five things to do with your car after you're done eating:

1.See a movie:

Plenty of movies are playing this week, and some of them are actually worth seeing.

If you're looking for something to take your kids to see, Disney's "Big Hero 6" is your best option. "Penguins of Madagascar" is also out this week, which has received mixed reviews so far, but looks pretty funny.

If you need to a movie to see with your cousins to get away from the rest of the family for a little while, "Horrible Bosses 2" and "Interstellar' are both solid options.

Though it might not be the most romantic movie, the best date flick to see after you're done eating turkey is "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1." The movie, starring Jennifer Laurence, was No. 1 at the box office last weekend after making $121.9 million, and is expected to do pretty well over the holiday weekend.

2.Go bowling:

Football is usually the sport of choice for most Americans once they're done stuffing their faces on Thanksgiving, but not everyone.

Bowling is a good option because you get to have fun with your friends and family, work off some calories and stay warm, instead of throwing a ball around outside. Weather conditions may be bad on Thursday as well so bowling may be a good option, if your local alley is open.

3.Do some doughnuts:

So you've finish your turkey, but the apple pie and cranberry sauce didn't hit the spot for desert. Here's a solution: do some doughnuts.

Doughnuts are easily performed on frozen and wet surfaces, like ice and snow, and loose surfaces, such as dirt. If you're not sleepy from eating all that turkey, you will be from the rush you get in your car.

Performing a doughnut can be hazardous however, since a lot of strain is put on the vehicle's suspension and drivetrain. Tires can also wear down.

If you don't feel comfortable performing a doughnut, maybe consider picking one up to eat instead at a local Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. It's not like you're watching your calories on Thanksgiving anyway.

4. Drive to a turkey walk:

Those who are watching what they eat on Thanksgiving can burn some calories by going on a "Turkey Walk and Talk" wilderness hike, like the one being held in Hunterdon County, NJ.

A park naturalist will be on hand at the Round Valley Nature Area to teach visitors about wild turkeys on the trail at 10 a.m. to noon on Thanksgiving. While you might not be able to get an expert to join you on your walk, there are spots all over the country that are known to have wild turkeys running around.

5. Look for holiday lights

One of the best parts of the holidays is seeing all the decorations put up around town and on houses. By Thanksgiving, a number of houses around the country will already have their holiday lights up. It might be fun to drive around looking at all the lights that people have put up so far, and even if holiday lights aren't your thing you can be glad you don't pay their electric bill.
