Woman Backs Into Jerry Seinfeld's Rare Porsche Carrera RSR

Jerry Seinfeld confirmed this week that he had to watch in horror as a driver backed into his priceless 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR.

Seinfeld, who starred in a show about nothing for nine seasons, said he was having coffee with Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras at the time when the incident took place.

"My car was parked directly across the street. We then watched as a middle-aged woman in a new, white BMW sedan pulled in front of my car, put her car in reverse and drove straight back into my car, smashing and damaging it," Seinfeld said to The New York Post.

The 60-year-old comedian said he could hear the sound of "rare, expensive, vintage metal" crunching from across the street, a sound that was "sickening" to the car fanatic.

"And even though I'm sure I deserved this, because of who I am and that I have this amazing car, I was furious," said Seinfeld. "I ran across the street, out of my mind, and yelled at her, 'You just crashed into my car!'"

Seinfeld said that the woman wasn't apologetic, but claimed she couldn't see the rare Porsche, and didn't seem to understand why he was upset.

"She drove off. She did offer to give me her information, but the idea of having her in my life for one more second was intolerable, he added. "I went home and put my head under the covers."

Figueras offered Seinfeld some advice after the incident took place, saying "'In life, sometimes we need a little pinch,'" to the Brooklyn native.

"He's right, she's right, everyone's right. I will be much more careful in the future," Seinfeld told the newspaper.

Only 49 911 RSRs vehicles were manufactured back in 1973.

Seinfeld also runs a web series called "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," which broadcasts on the internet and premiered in 2012. Guests have ranged from Larry David, Alec Baldwin, Michael Richards, Mel Brooks, Tina Fey, and David Letterman, among others.

The series was nominated again this year for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class - Short-Format Nonfiction Program.
