The 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR will be sold for $111,400, including a $925 destination charge, once it reaches U.S. dealerships next spring, the company confirmed this weekend before it's debut at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

The automaker's base 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport V6 SE, which goes on sale this December, starts at $64,275.

Interested car buyers will pay a $47,125 premium over the base model in order to drive away with the Range Rover Sport SVR.

This is the first vehicle to feature the new SVR designation, which will appear on all future Range Rover high-performance vehicles, according to the automaker.

Land Rover's SVR recorded a lap time of 8 minutes, 14 seconds when tested on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, which is recognized as one of the most demanding tracks in the world.

The Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations team created the Range Rover Sport SVR, and it will be sold through the Land Rover dealer network in the U.S.

Specs include: four-wheel drive, featuring 550-horsepower 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The automaker confirmed that the SVR is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and has a top track speed of 162 mph.

Base U.S. models come with standard 21-inch wheels and tires. Vehicles displayed at Pebble Beach featured 22-inch wheels and tires however.

A new grille, rear spoiler, quad exhaust pipes, dark finish, and a Santorini Black contrast roof are all standard equipment.

Estoril Blue is exclusive to the SVR exterior, according to the automaker.

Leather Sports seats, aluminum interior trim, optional carbon-fiber trim, were also mentioned this weekend.

The vehicle is expected to compete for sales against the likes of the BMW X5, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and Mercedes-Benz M-Class, among other cars.
