Hyundai Motor America unveiled its new RE:FLEX Edition this week at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, and now it's confirmed an estimated time frame when interested customers can expect the new vehicle to be available for purchase.

The automaker will produce just 3,000 Veloster RE:FLEX Edition models, and will make the vehicle available sometime during this spring.

Veloster RE:FLEX comes with black or red full leather seating options, LED taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels with a PVD chrome finish, projector headlights, illuminated door sills, and chrome door handles.

"Veloster RE:FLEX Edition builds on the success of the 2013 Veloster RE:MIX Edition," said Scott Margason, director, product planning, according to a recent company news release. "Veloster customers desire limited-edition models with even sportier styling, unique features and exclusive colors that allow them to stand out from the crowd and that is exactly what RE:FLEX Edition delivers."

Other featured equipment comes from the popular Style Package, which includes piano black interior accents, a premium audio system with eight speakers, front fog lights, leather steering wheel and shift knob, along with alloy pedals and automatic driver's window, according to Hyundai.

A rearview camera is also standard now, designed to work with the vehicle's standard 7-inch multimedia touchscreen display.

All Veloster RE:FLEX models are powered by a 132-hp Gamma 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and six-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission.

Pricing has yet to be announced for the new Veloster RE:FLEX.

The base 2014 Hyundai Veloster is sold for $18,610, including an $810 shipping fee, so the RE:FLEX model could be sold for a little bit more than that price.
