Toyota is set to debut a new concept vehicle that changes colors based on the driver's mood, according to a company press release.
The unique vehicle is among the many different cars the automaker will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show later on this month.
Though it is still being worked on, the vehicle has been codenamed Toyota FV2, according to the automaker.
"The car will appeal to future consumers of the digital generation, who have been used to smartphones or iPads from a young age," said Takeo Moriai, a manager in Toyota's product planning group, in a statement. "Given that the technology is still at a very early stage of development, it's challenging for us to figure out the extent to which the car can read emotions."
Toyota will have the concept on display along with a hydrogen-powered car at the show, as part of plans to introduce a fuel-cell car by 2015.
The vehicle's exterior design is inspired by a catamaran and is supposed to remind customers of flowing water, according to the company.
The car will have a range of around 311 miles and recharges in about three minutes, Toyota said.
The Tokyo Motor Show is open to the public from Nov. 23 to Dec. 1.
