Honda Recall: 374,000 Vehicles Called Back in U.S. Over Airbags

Honda is recalling approximately 374,000 vehicles in the U.S. to fix an issues that could cause airbags to deploy inadvertently.

The recall includes 318,000 2003-04 Honda Odyssey and 56,000 2003 Acura MDX.

The automaker said it has received a "small" number of complaints over the last couple of months that airbags are deploying when one isn't needed.

"To prevent malfunction, an electrical noise filter will be installed adjacent to the SRS control unit," Honda said. "(The recall is) to address potential malfunctions of the supplemental restraint system (SRS) airbag system due to electrical interference."

No crashes have been reported to Honda related to the issue as of press time.

The recall will begin in late October.
