Lexus revealed this week that it will unveil its new LF-NX hybrid concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.

The concept will have a hybrid powertrain "tuned for SUV performance" according to the automaker.

"The LF-NX concept's exterior design reflects a further evolution of Lexus' L-finesse design language," said Toyota in a statement on Wednesday.

From photos released by Toyota, the new concept vehicle looks a lot like the RX350, with a spindle grille and angular styling.

Inside the concept is black yellow leather with contrast stitching.

Lexus has equipped the vehicle with interactive touch-sensitive switches and a new touch-pad Remote Touch interface.

The vehicle is powered by a new variant of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, but is tuned for SUV performance, according to Lexus.

Make sure to check back after the compact crossover officially debuts at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show, which is scheduled to begin on Sept. 10.
