Audi has released this week what the automaker claims to be the first vehicle with integrated 4G internet connection.

Audi said its new S3 Sportback will be equipped with an Audi Connect infotainment system, which will be powered through 4G connectivity according to the automaker.

"The integration of 4G marks a very important step in the evolution of the Audi connect system, which networks the car with the driver and the internet, and in the future could also provide an interface with the infrastructure and with other vehicles," Audi said in a press statement.

The S3 is available at dealerships in Europe, though the automaker said the 4G connectivity will reach more vehicles this November.

The U.S. will have to wait until next spring to get in on the fun however according to Audi.

"From navigation with Google Earth and Google Street View to Audi music stream web radio and online traffic information," said Audi in a press statement. "Facebook and Twitter social media platforms have also been made vehicle friendly with a text to speech function and a status function with prepared text modules."

Along with providing quicker access to traffic updates, directions, and music, the 4G also helps drivers find gas station locations and compares gas prices.

Customers will have to purchase "MMI Navigation Plus with Audi connect," to use the 4G, which is apart of the company's technology package. A 4G SIM car will also need to be put inside a slot located in the glovebox of the vehicle according to Audi.
