All fans are now excited for the release of OnePlus 5. The new smartphone is anticipated to become official sooner than later as many speculations and leaks are suggesting at a May or June announcement by the company. The company is skipping the OnePlus four since the number four is deemed inauspicious in China.

So here is the list of speculations and leaks regarding the OnePlus 5 that has surfaced the internet in the past few days and weeks. These just points out the flagship phone's launch are nearing.

The flagship phone received the Chinese 3C certification in mid-April. However, the 3C certification hasn't given the specs side, but it has revealed that the smartphone will be called the OnePlus A5000.

In terms of display, the flagship phone is anticipated to have a 5.5-inch display, which is just the same to what all of OnePlus' phone have employed. Speculations also claim that the company will put a 1080p panel at the front of its flagship phone.

Today, Quad HD displays are getting more and more frequent, but it seems that the China-based company is not yet ready on that bandwagon. Seeing from experience, the display will likely have an AMOLED type, which comes with excellent contrast and lowered power consumption in certain situations.

When it comes to its hardware, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 silicon, which is currently used in the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The Snapdragon 865 is also faster compared to the Snapdragon 820 and 821 that is currently on the OnePlus 3 and 3T.

In addition, the flagship phone is expected to have the same amount of memory with the previous OnePlus devices, and some speculations even suggest that 8GB of RAM could make a big difference. As with its storage, the flagship phone should come with a 64GB of storage in the base version.

OnePlus is said to be readying itself to take on the dual-camera bandwagon with its upcoming smartphone. One of the rear cameras is said to be a 23MP shooter, whereas the front one is expected to have a 16MP, similar on the OnePlus 3T.

As mentioned earlier, One Plus doesn't have yet an exact timeframe for announcing, and releasing its flagship smartphone. But everyone is expecting the China-based company to unveil its OnePlus 5 smartphone sometime in May or June. There are no details yet on how much will the phone cost, but speculations suggest that it could cost just below $500.
