Going to Indiana may be the best bet to have the classic Shelby Mustang. For any Shelby enthusiast, distance is not an issue as long as they can get their hands on anything classic and somehow a collector's item. Indiana is definitely the destination and enthusiasts are expected to flock the state next month.

The classic Shelby Mustangs will be available through Auctions America for its upcoming sale in Auburn Springs, Indiana on May 12. The sale will see at least three classic Shelbys, with each more tempting than the last.

There is a bright red which is a GT350 from 1970, considered the last year in which Ford would offer Shelby Mustang for around three decades. This is expected to set one back between $85,000 and $100,000 and is powered by 5.7-liter V-8 which is mated to a four-speed manual transmission.

Another one comes in green, which is another GT350 from the year 1968. There were only 404 units made for this year making it even more special. The green GT350 is expected to cost between $110,000 and $125,000. This stunning classic Shelby Mustang comes with 5.0-liter V-8 which is capable of producing 250-horsepower.

Green is in, even in classic Mustangs, with the third coming in lime green hue. This time it is a classic 1968 GT500KR. This is the most powerful among the three for having 7.0-liter V-8 from Cobra Jet dragster responsible for producing 335-horsepower. Just like the other green 1968 GT350, there are only about 400 units sold for this model. It is expected to be priced between $160,000 and $200,000.

Classic Shelby Mustang is almost synonymous with American pride that it is even used in many schools across the country as some form of a mascot. There is even one that urges students to take a photo of their teachers' Classic Ford Mustang to have it posted on various social media sites for its well-deserved recognition.

Classic Shelby Mustang has seen the progress and development of the Land of the free and home of the brave. After about three decades, it is still considered a prime commodity for being a huge part of history. Get your checkbooks ready and head out to Auburn Springs, Indiana to have your share of automotive history in your garage.
