Much has been said about the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze but one thing is clear, it is inexpensive and considered to be environmentally friendly. With the recently concluded Earth Day, it's noteworthy to check which vehicles are built to be in this category.

Although the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze has similar features with the ones in its category, it is still one of the most affordable in the bunch. It is modestly priced below $23,000, enough to excite interested buyers. During these trying times not most people will choose the car that has a lower price but has the same features. But it doesn't mean this car is not powerful at all.

The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze has 2 power plants that you can choose from. Both engines can be paired with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. However, it is best to choose the automatic transmission for easier handling especially when driving around the city.

Its base power plant is a 153 HP, turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine. It is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox, however, an option to have the automatic transmission makes it a better choice. The 137 HP, 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is another option for enthusiasts. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox but buyers can opt for the 9-speed automatic transmission system for upgrades.

Also, the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze leads the pack of environmentally friendly cars. Included in the list are luxury brands like BMW 3 Series, Jaguar XE, and Volkswagen models. Interestingly, the turbodiesel Cruze models outrank them all with a 42mpg. With a fuel efficiency of 31 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway, it can be comparable to the numbers we got from the subcompact Mitsubishi Mirage.

Its output of 37 mpg in the city, 43 mpg on the highway and combined output of 39 mpg clearly makes it compete directly with the Cruze. Another striking review about the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze aside from fuel efficiency is its carbon emission compliance.

Lastly, the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze stand out features include the Apple Car Play that will delight Apple users. But Android users need not fret since it also carries an Android Auto smartphone integration. These features are all connected with its functional multimedia display. It also has impressive that this car has an internet hot spot using an Onstar 4G LTE Wi-Fi. The best part is this comes with its maintenance programs included in the purchase.
