‘Pulp Fiction’ Car Recovered in San Francisco 19 Years After Being Stolen (VIDEO)

Police officials say that a classic Chevrolet convertible featured in the hit movie "Pulp Fiction" has been found nearly two decades after it was stolen according to the Associated Press.

Director Quentin Tarantino's 1964 Chevelle Malibu was recovered in the San Francisco Bay area earlier this week according to The San Bernardino County Sun.

John Travolta's character drove the cherry red vehicle throughout the movie, which went on to receive seven Academy Awards nominations.

Tarantino has yet to comment about the vehicle being discovered as of press time.

Authorities stated that the car's owner is not believed to be involved in its theft, and is considered a victim of a fraud after being questioned by authorities.

He has not been arrested or charged for the theft, but did help police find where he purchased the car.

The vehicle's VIN number had been changed according to The San Bernardino County Sun. No one will be arrested for the theft because the statute of limitations on auto theft has run out.

An investigation into an old Malibu in the desert city of Victorville on April 8 led detectives to another Malibu in the Oakland area according to Sheriff Sgt. Albert Anolin.

Police were then able to confirm that the second vehicle belonged to Tarantino and was stolen back in 1994.
