The 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid is coming as a very efficient, comfortable and good-looking model. Experts say that the new PHEV is actually so much better than its rival, Toyota Prius.

The 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid runs with a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine. It also has a large 8.9-kwh lithium-ion battery. The combined engine and battery produces 139 hp.

The plug-in offers a minimum 27 miles of electric range when the battery is fully charged. The brand also claims the model offers a fuel economy rating of about 58 mpg.

The 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid can be compared with the Toyota Prius Prime. However, car experts say that the former drives and looks better than the latter.

The new Ioniq offers very pleasant driving experience. Experts say that it is, even more, fun to drive than its rivals.

The new hybrid responds accurately and works fine even when being hustled onto curves. As a result, the hybrid seems to offer a driving experience similar to that of a regular gas-engine sedan.

In terms of aesthetics, the Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid can be classified to look like a hatchback. The PHEV looks very pleasant with clean lines, unlike its rivals, the Toyota Prius and Prime.

With regard to interiors, the new Ioniq is very functional. The cabin controls are properly placed for easy access and navigation. The infotainment display may not be as large as the one from its rival, but it still offers similar technology features.

The new Ioniq is very comfortable. Passengers will love the roomy space of the hybrid. The rear seats are also functional and can sit additional passengers.

Moreover, behind the rear seats is a 23.8 cubic feet space for cargo. The rear seats can also be folded to provide extra cargo space.

In comparison with its rival, the 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid offers the same function and comfort of the base Prius. In addition, the new hybrid is as efficient as the smaller Prime.
