Poison Bread in ‘Gift’ Sandwiches Puts 25 German Workers In The Hospital (VIDEO)

Poisoned bread rolls have put over 25 workers in the hospital this week. The incident took place at Muller Technology, which makes car parts and employs approximately 210 people in Germany according to CNN.

The sandwiches, which were left in two bins with thank your notes near the front door of the company, contained rat poison hidden between the meat and cheese.

No one was suspicious of the sandwiches at the time, as it is a "regular occurrence" for employees at the company to receive gifts and snacks from co-workers.

The company has yet to confirm who left the poisoned rolls, but some employees believed the notes were signed by a "Daniel" or "Paul" according to BBC.

The rolls allegedly contained poison rat flakes dyed with a red tracer were put between cheese and sausage slices. Approximately 25 employees tasted the rolls before one of them noticed the rat poison.

None of the employees have become ill due to the rat poison as of press time, but 11 of them chose to go to the hospital just to be safe.

 It can take approximately 72 hours before those exposed to the rat poison show any symptoms according to BBC.

The remaining rolls were taken by helicopter to a specialist laboratory in Berlin to be further evaluated.

Local police believe that the box was dropped off along with paper plates and napkins at around 6:30 a.m. on April 16.
