Finally, the date is already set. After several leaks and spied photos from supposed reliable sources, this will come to an end. Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus release date is one to be watched out for as these devices promise up-to-date features that can rival others.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 will finally be unveiled on April 19, 2017, in Beijing at the University of Technology gymnasium. The new latest flagship phone and a successor of Mi 5 will definitely happen. CEO Lei Jun confirmed an April release and he is staying sticking to it. The Mi 6 will also be joined by its bigger sibling, the Mi 6 Plus.

The Mi 6 is technologically advanced in its own right. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It will also come with 5.1-inch full HD display. The Mi 6 is also reported to either have 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Its camera is impressive for its price range for having 12-megapixel rear facing camera and 8-megapixel front facing camera which is both capable of 4K recording.

It gets better as the bigger Mi 6 Plus is reported to have Quad HD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges and dual rear camera setup which of course is patterned after the recently released S8 and S8+. It is also expected to have an impressive battery life for having 4000mAh. Both the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and is capable of quick charging for its Quick Charge 4.0 technology.

However, there are also reports stating that the upcoming Xiaomi flagship device may come with two screen/display versions. The first version is reported to come with Quad HD resolution and the other being a Full HD one. It is not clear as to which one will be seen in the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus.

At least it is good to know that everyone will be treated with what Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus would look like come April 19. All speculations and other leaks will now be confirmed. All official reports regarding this auspicious event will immediately be reported.
