The classic car Porsche 910, the same car used by Hollywood icon Steve McQueen from the movie Le Mans is now an electric car. Now, car enthusiasts can enjoy driving in style with the Porsche 910, electric version!

Making this dream possible are three Austrian brothers Philipp Kreisel, Johann Kreisel and Markus Kreisel with their company Kreisel Electric. They started working on the limited edition Steve McQueen's Porsche 910 to be transformed from a sports car fuelled with gas to become an electric car. The brothers used the replica made by the EVEX Fahrzeubgau.

This project was made by fitting the Porsche 910 with different components that made it into an electric car. What is amazing with these brothers is that they were not only successful in making the Porsche 910 into an electric car but it became as fast as the fastest car of Tesla. This all new Porsche 910 electric car is capable of having a 490 hp with 568 lb-ft torque which allows it to run with a speed of up to 100 kph or 60 mph with just a whopping 2.5 seconds. Its top speed can reach up to 186 mph. What's more, it can be used for public roads.

The Kreisel Brothers worked in their 3-door garage and have been making drivetrains and battery packs for new generation plug-in cars, airplanes, and boats. They even called themselves "E-mobility maniacs" simply because of the works they have done and they are already fast gaining popularity because of their works.

It can be recalled that during the 1967 World Sportscar Championship, this classic Steve McQueen's Porsche 910 finished sixth place during the said event. It was a grueling and long 24-hour race that happened in Paris which is 200 km southwest.

Bloomberg reported that because there are only around 35 original Porsche 910 frames built, Kreisel can only produce very limited units of these electric car model. The production will start by next year.
