Alfa Romero Will Unveil Its New 2018 Alfa Romero Stelvio 280 Hp At The Upcoming New York Auto Show

Alfa Romero will be unveiling more pedestrian versions of the Stelvio crossover, which will slot below the Quadrifoglio model, in New York. The base 2018 Alfa Romero Stelvio and the Stelvio Ti will be equipped with an all-wheel-drive system that can produce 60 percent of torque to the front wheels and a 2.0-liter turbo four with 280 hp and 306-lb-ft of torque that is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The automaker said that even the less potent version of the Stelvio would provide excellent performance. Alfa Romero claims that with the 2.0-liter turbo four, the car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and have a top speed of 144 mph. In comparison, the Quadrifoglio model that comes with a 505-hp 2.9-liter twin turbo V-6 is rated to hit 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 177 mph.

In addition, both models will come with an extensive list of standard features which includes leather upholstery, HID headlights, rear parking sensors, remote start, a rearview camera, keyless entry/start, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. The Stelvio Ti model will get more features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, front parking sensors, an 8.8-inch multimedia screen, and wood interior trim.

A Sport package is also available for the 2018 Alfa Romero Stelvio and Stelvio Ti which adds larger alloy wheels, 19-inches for the Stelvio and 20-inch for the Stelvio Ti, paddle shifters, gloss black window surrounds and roof rails, 12-way power adjustable front sport seats with power-adjustable lumbar and bolsters, aluminum pedals and foot rest, and brake calipers in red, yellow or black.

Furthermore, the new Lusso Package specifically for the Stelvio Ti model will add accent stitching, a leather-wrapped dash, Pieno Fiore Italian leather upholstery and dark gray or light walnut wood trim. When it comes to safety features, the 2018 Alfa Romero Stelvio and other Stelvio models will have a forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot warning are also offered as options.
