2018 Ferrari 488 Special Edition: A Track Oriented Beast That Has More Of Everything To Offer

Ferrari never fails when it comes to surprises. The known Italian automobile company has another excellent creation for its fans, the 2018 Ferrari 488 Special Edition.The car is lighter and comes with a larger appetite for apexes.

The 2018 Ferrari 488 Special Edition has a small space where you can place a suitcase in the front boot. The company uses a carbon fiber, and less use of luxury amenities to help lower the weight of the car model by 200 pounds. This development is made for a much lighther and faster driving performance.

This all-new special edition line-up of the Ferrari is a track-focused version of the 488 GBT. The new car design has 35 more horsepower than the regular 458.

This model is powered by a 3.9-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine that can run as much as 661 of horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 561 pound-feet of torque at 3,000 rpm. The acceleration of the vehicle from 0 to 60mph is possible in a span of 3.0 seconds.

The said V8 engine of the special edition Ferrari is paired with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that has manual controls. As to the car's spaceframe, it is made up of aluminum.

Ferrari's 488 Special Edition is expected to be stiffer that offers more aggressive driving with its tuned suspension when it reached the market this year. Availing for this car is also buying some exclusivity since not everyone can get the chance to have one.

The 2018 Ferrari 488 Special Edition comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, electronic breaks distribution, traction control system, and electronic stability program. There is still no official price released on the said model. However, it is expected to come with an estimated price reaching over $100-$250,000 after its release soon. The 2018 Ferrari 488 Special Edition is said to have its launching this year in September, and that would take place at the IAA FrankFurt motor show.
