This year, the Easter Jeep Safari 2017 marks the 51st year for the event. Fifty-one years later, Jeep still brings some very special concepts to the table.

At this year's event, Jeep has teased two concepts ahead of time. The concepts were the Quicksand and the Switchback.

Naturally, there will be more concepts and debuts at the Easter Jeep Safari 2017. In the 50th Easter Jeep Safari last year, the company showcased some pretty wild concepts. Last year's event had modern takes on classics like a Wrangler capable of producing 707 horsepower with its Hellcat engine a forward cab truck on top of a modern Wrangler chassis.

As previously mentioned, there are already two concepts teased weeks prior to the event. First, the Quicksand - it definitely comes across as a vehicle built for heavy dune-blasting action.

The Wrangler Quicksand concept is based on a short-wheelbase, two-door Wrangler. Road Show wrote about the Quicksand, saying, "The Quicksand looks like it's built for some dune-blasting action, if you claim you've looked at something that's little more than a very dark sketch, with a front wheel that seems obscenely far away from the rest of the vehicle and a proper roll cage behind the front row."

On the other hand, Jeep also teased the Wrangler Switchback. It was reported to be based on the Wrangler Unlimited.

The Switchback definitely looks like a proper safari vehicle. As fans can see from the photos, it only has safari bars instead of doors.

It also features a top over the cargo areas which could be removed easily. According to reports, both concepts is heavily based on the Wrangler Unlimited.

The Easter Jeep Safari 2017 takes place on Moab, Utah starting from April 8 to 16. Keep checking back on Auto World News for more updates.
