Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is highly anticipated to come out with powerful specs as it is expected to function as a tablet and a laptop in one. Meanwhile, another powerful laptop, Dell XPS 15, has currently proven its worth as well. Let us see how the new hybrid compares with the traditional laptop.

Latest reports point to the inclusion of the AMD Ryzen processor in the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The theory stems from a scene in the trailer of "Alien: Covenant" where the much-awaited tablet was shown. Apparently, AMD is one of the sponsors of the movie and the appearance of the new Surface Pro and AMD in one trailer led to speculations that the new chip will be used in the upcoming tablet.

Whereas, the Dell XPS 15 is powered by the current 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor. However, it appears that the new Surface Pro 5 will still have a better chipset because the new AMD Ryzen matches Intel's eight-core i7-6900K, MobiPicker has explained.

With regard to the operating system, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to carry the latest from Windows. The soon-to-be-released Windows 10 Creators Update operating system will run the Surface Pro 4 successor. Compared to the Surface Pro 5, the Dell XPS 15 runs with the current Windows 10 operating system only.

Aside from the biggest update from Windows, the new tablet is also reported to feature the Microsoft HoloLens. Since the latter is powered by the former, many believe that the new Surface Pro 5 will also come with the new HoloLens. In addition, the latter is set to come out on March 30, it is likely that it will be ready for the new tablet as well.

Meanwhile, after barely two months of being released in the market, Dell is already offering the XPS 15 with a huge discount. Dell Australia is giving $600 cash off for the 15.6-inch XPS 15 with 32GB memory. The laptop on sale also sports the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with 4GB GDDR5 which is a great feature for outstanding gaming performance.

Instead of paying for the store price of $3,699.00, buyers may now avail of the discounted price of $3,099.00 only. Those who are interested should rush in their purchase as the offer is valid unto March 30 only.

The price tag for the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has not been revealed. Watch out for our next update on this new powerful hybrid.
