The 2017 Buick Grand National Is Back With A Beast Engine Craving To Hit The Road This Year

The reveal of the 2017 Buick Grand National has managed to surprise the automotive market and in an interesting turn of events for a car that was discontinued for a period of time. The Grand National was known to be one of the automaker's babies, but for some reason, everything fell apart which made it stop its production. But after five years of waiting, it's now back on the market.

There are a few very interesting and useful updates in the new 2017 Buick Grand National. It will look like a monster on the road which its big and robust looks and appeals. Upfront, a big grill is divided into vertical parts.

 A great solution for cooling its engine is an air intake located in the middle of the hood. At the side of the car are two headlights and a couple of fog light below them. Finally, at the rear, a small and discrete stylish spoiler is added. For a more aggressive look, an 18-inch and 19-inch wheels aluminum rims is included.

On the inside, a large 8-inch touchscreen with seven speaker sound system or even 9-speaker surround system is added. Other features include a Bluetooth wireless technology, rearview camera, 4G LTE connectivity, blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning system and also a collision warning system together with a navigation system and other advanced electronic equipment. All of that new stuff will be included on the redesigned and modern dashboard, and the whole cabin will be made of high-quality materials.

For its powertrain, the new car will offer three possible engine variants. The base model will have a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 LTG that produces 250 hp. The second is a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 LFX which makes 300 hp. And the latest addition is a 3.6-liter twin turbo V6 LF3 that produces over 400 hp. All of these engines are going to come with a Variable Valve Timing and Direct fuel injection, but there hasn't been any statement yet on which transmission will be used.

It's already a guarantee that the new 2017 Buick Grand National will be released this year. But no specific date has been confirmed yet. The price is expected to have a starting price of mid $30,000 to $40,000.
