2017 Volvo XC60: Expect The Unexpected In This Luxury SUV

The 2017 Volvo XC60 was launched during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.  This luxury SUV replaced the XC60 that was originally launched 9 years ago. The original generation is the best-selling unit in the entire European continent it has been one of Volvo's best sellers for quite a number of years. It is considered to be the safest car in the whole world.

The oncoming Lane Mitigation feature of the 2017 Volvo XC60 helps the driver prevent head-on collision while the Blind Spot Indication System reduces accidents when changing lanes. It also has a Pilot Assist is also integrated into the system.

Different trims and inscription are being offered to the public for the new generation 2017 Volvo XC60.  The Momentum -R is the most familiar trim that Volvo has. According to Cars UK, The MOMENTUM-Pro was added to the mix.  For the sporty looking type there are the R-Design and the R-Design Pro to choose from. Each of the different trims sand inscriptions is priced differently from each other. All 2017 Volvo XC60 luxury SUV models have one thing in common.  All of the units are 4-wheel drive vehicles connected to an 8-speed automatic suspension gearbox for easy shifting.

In the powertrain department, the 2017 Volvo XC60 is a hybrid car that runs on a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engines. This new engines replaced the old 2.4 liters, 5 cylinders that is a standard issue. Different electric motors can be paired however depending on the power a driver wants. The Cars Guide reports that the T5 electric motor of this luxury SUV produces 187 KW of power. The T6 will give you up to 235 KW of additional power. The 3rd option is the T8 which combined the T6 power and a lithium battery for a total 300 KW f power under its hood. Each combination has different acceleration rate from standstill to 100 miles per hour. 

One feature that sets the 2017 Volvo XC60 apart from other vehicles is their booster seats for kids. All you need to do is to arrange a portion of the back seat to make it a make it higher. Also, to give you a better view in side you can lower the headrest of the back seat with a push of a button. This will help drivers of this luxury SUV when it comes to outward visibility.
