The spot, called "Dinosaur," shows the new luxury small crossover vehicle as its making its way through a city streets that are crowed with a number of different dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are supposed to represent the standard luxury vehicles that the Encore is going against and, as the commercial shows, the Encore supposedly beats them all.

"There's a misconception in the luxury car market that the best amenities and technology are limited to larger vehicles," said Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick Marketing in the press release. "With vehicles like the Encore and Verano, Buick is redefining customers' expectations with a great combination of content, efficiency and passenger space in a smaller overall package."

The Encore is the first crossover of its size to be offered by Buick. The new model has a turning circle of 36.7 feet, which is a foot and half less than one of its rivals, the Mini Countryman, but still seats five passengers and provides up to 484 cubic feet of storage when the rear seats have been put down according to the company press release.

GM stated in a previous press release that the new crossover offers an EPA-estimated 33 mpg on the highway for front-drive vehicles, making it the best of any crossover manufactured from any automotive company around the world.

Tippet Studio from Berkley, C.A. worked with the auto company to create the ad, the same company that created the Velociraptors and T-Rex dinosaurs for the 1993 hit movie "Jurassic Park."

"We have decades of experience imagining how dinosaurs moved when they roamed Earth," said Phil Tippett, founder of Tippett Studio in the GM release. "And it's been exciting to watch the technology evolve. Making those Raptors slide through Jurassic Park's kitchen required an innovative combination of stop-motion animation and computer graphics. For the Buick commercial, we could do it all on computers, allowing for more life-like muscle movement."

The Encore comes with a number of different features including rain-sensing wipers, forward collision alert and a seven-inch infotainment screen system.
